Lorena is a twenty-year-old Brazilian student. As an International Relations enthusiast, she is passionate about politics, social action, and art. She founded the Illuminarium Chronicles to inspire young writers to share their voices. When she’s not reading, she can be found learning a new language, painting, or figure skating. 

Megan (she/her) is a passionate reader and writer with a particular fondness for poetry. She has an acute interest in pop culture and social issues, and loves to engage in literature that explores the intersections of art and society. Megan is inspired by writers like Donna Tartt and Sylvia Plath, and is captivated by their ability to illicit emotions and spark meaningful conversations.

Alyanna is an eighteen-year-old Filipino writer living in the UK. When she’s not writing, she spends her time playing guitar and consuming all types of media – from world cinema to classic literature. She can be found on Instagram at @crvshed.velvet.

Hey! I’m Samara Mutinda and I am the staff writer. I am Kenyan and I will study Social Sciences in Spain. I have a long-running interest in reading a range of genres and writing mainly creative pieces. I am passionate about the power of language so I volunteer English focused tutoring as well. I also love language learning and I'm currently working on my French and Swahili. Other ways I enjoy spending my time include baking chocolate chip cookies and playing the guitar. I look forward to continually collaborating with the rest of our team to produce some awesome literary pieces!

This is Lily! She is 18 years old from Melbourne, Australia. After graduating high school in 2022, Lily got into a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Creative Writing at RMIT in Melbourne! One day she plans to make a career out of fashion journalism, and maybe knock Anna Wintour out of the top job.

In her spare time, Lily loves to paint and listen to music; specifically Hozier! He is her all-time favourite artist.
